WildPackets EtherPeek is a legacy network protocol analyzer designed for Ethernet environments. It captures and decodes network packets in real time to help administrators and engineers troubleshoot performance issues, identify misconfigurations, and investigate security anomalies. EtherPeek provides detailed protocol decodes, conversation and top‑talker views, filter-based capture and display, and built-in expert analysis that highlights errors such as retransmissions, malformed frames, and latency spikes. Users can set triggers and alerts, generate reports, and save or export capture files for deeper offline analysis. EtherPeek is widely regarded as a forerunner to the later OmniPeek product line.
